"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

To get Bryce I would recommend just doing a web search to find the best price. If by any chance you're a college student, you might get a good deal on an academic software site. I don't have any specific links, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.
Also, I looked checked out your userpage and saw the question you posted. To change the startup (boot screen) you should go out on the web and find a shareware prog that will do it for you. I use styleXP. [link] is a good place to start. they have tons of boot and login screens and a link to stylexp.
